Number keypad not working in windows xp

The number keypad on the right side of my mac keyboard has mysteriously stopped working the other day when using the windows side of my imac. The number pad does work with the mac side so I know it is not a physical problem with the keyboard. The homerow numbers work fine on the windows side..

How do I enable a "Numbers Lock" with a mac keyboard in windows xp? Has anyone else had a similar problem?

In Windows with your Mac keyboard, the Num Lock key would be in it's usual spot. It should be the "clear" key on your keyboard. That should fix your problem.

The numlock key is the key with a rectangle with a cross through it, just incase you couldn't find it.

I've tried pressing the key but it doesn't change anything..the "4"key moves my curser left and the "6" key moves my curser right, if that provides anymore clues. (started acting this way after i could no longer type actual numbers on the pad)

I actually found the problem on accident! Here is the solution for all you mac keyboard users.

Pressing the "clear" button, right above the "7" button will switch the mode of the numerical keys from the NUMBER mode and the Curser directional mode (my own termenology lol)

D'OH....I like to read things and subconciously figure it out "on my own" so I can take credit for it! lol

Ya gotta love google.........one simple search on google brought me to this link and solved my problem. Thanks Google and Macrumors for bringing this post back from the dead and answering my question.
