Do any of you know the number of concurrent users on that i can have on my Netflix account. My daughter in college wants to use my account from time to time. If the limit is low (like 3 or less), do you know if you can add more (for a fee of course.

I know i can just call Netflix and ask, but just wondering if anyone on here has delt with the same issue.

i think they have a family plan to have more then one device using the account at the same time

if you using it at different times i dont believe there is a limit

Please let us know what you find. We are using Netflix more and more and have several devices in the house that can access the service. I have yet to come across a conflict with more than 1 (or even 2 or 3) at a time being on Netflix, but I am sure that day will come soon.

PS - Yes, I know I can easily test it! ;-)

My house just got Netflix a few months ago when Viacom and Directv were jacking around. We can not use it on more than 2 devices at a time. I've tried this on combinations of iPads, ATV, Xbox, & PS3. No matter what we used, no more than 2 streams at once. I heard that Netflix is working on a family plan solution, though they haven't mentioned how many streams or what the fee would be.

I was interested so I checked my account settings:

I did not see a family plan option. Only a limited plan for $4.99 per month.

I pay 7.99 for below. I clicked on Change Plan to see this.

=====================================

You are currently on this plan (see plan details)

Unlimited Streaming - 2 Devices-At-Once
Watch instantly as often as you want on your PC, Mac or TV

I have had 2 streams running at the same time (2 different shows in two different rooms at the same time), this worked. Just not sure if netflix has a set number that they will allow.

I will have to check out the family plan.

It's an interesting question.

I've never had a problem with multiple Netflix streams. Given that you can probably even get a toaster now with Netflix, we've had multiple streams going at once pretty frequently at home. I have three kids and I know they've all been watching Netflix at the same time.

It used to be you could only have 6 Netflix ready devices registered to an account. I'm glad that's gone.

Excluding computers, we have at least 11 Netflix devices attached to our account (iPod touch, iPad, iPhone, 2 Nexus S Cell phones, xbox, wii, Vizio TV, Samsung Blu Ray Player, and the Apple TV).

a quick search on netflix's help site for simultaneous turns up 2 links
http://support.netflix.com/en/node/29#gsc.tab=0
http://support.netflix.com/en/node/373#gsc.tab=0

from the second link.
Netflix-ready Devices and Streams - Once you have an active Netflix membership, you can have 6 devices registered towards your account at any given time, and you may stream on up to two simultaneously. If you would like to stream on more than 2 devices at once, simply open a second account with a unique email address.

it used to be the number of DVDs in your plan plus one. but since it's split i guess it's down to 2.

i've got iphone, ipad, atv2, atv3, roku, and a blu-ray player all connected, but haven't tried to watch more than one at a time.
