But unlikely until there is a Mac CPU which supports/requires more than 64 threads.
There is no such Mac YET.
But it would be a signal that Apple is preparing such a Mac Pro with an multicore Mx processor before autumn 2022 (the next version of macOS).

The new Apple Silicon Mac Pro is said to be 40 cores, and Apple don't seem to do a HyperThreading equivalent on their own chips, so that will be 40 threads also.
