Hi all

I use charts and would like to format the text alignment on the Y vertical axis.

I often have addresses on the Y, and whilst each individual address is centred, they are not centred to each other. Therefore a short width address will be further to the right then a long width address. See attached.

I would like to be able to format the labels as one entity, so they all sit on one central line instead. I though I read that there is no way to do this - is this true? I can not see any text or label options to format alignment. It looks really unprofessional and unfinished as it is.

Many thanks

Mark

TBH - I don't know how you make the addresses show up as Y-axis values.
Could you perhaps share a fragment of your sheet & chart, so I can replicate it?

Thanks - does this help?

Hi Mark, the Y-Axis is always aligned a set distance from the chart, there is no way to center the values.

What you could do is add line breaks into each address cell by hitting Option+R, which it looks like you have already done.

The only alternative would be to hide the Y-Axis values and use a text box on top with the values aligned how you want.

Thanks. That's a good idea but the chart is always a different height, with different gaps between the bars, depending on the number (and number of lines) of spreadsheet entries, so it would be tricky to line the text box up with the chart bars!!
