Hi guys,

I want to calculate the amount of hours between two times in Numbers. Lets say between 09:30 and 18:00. 09:30 is in one cell and 18:00 as well.

The awnser in the 3rd cell should be 8,5 hours then.

Thanks in advanced.

I just did a quote test of this. If the cells are formatted for date and time, and you use 24hr time rather than adding AM or PM as in 09:30 in cell A1 and 11:30 in an cell A2, and then for example just have cell A3 be A2-A1 then it says 2hrs in cell A3

You don't even have to format the cells as time, or use 24 hour time. Number automatically knows they are times and does the math. To build the formula, just subtract the first cell from the second cell.
