Numbers? How Can I Eliminate Auto Date In Columns?

I would like to know how to eliminate auto date in columns. I have a column that I use for numbering 100's of CD's that I use for DJing. I number my tracks for example; 1-8 which represents disc 1 track 8. If I click on it it automatically changes it to 1/8/2020. This is very frustrating. If you have a solution, I would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you, Ray
