Most of you guys seem to prefer the %battery, but I prefer the older numerical battery. I want to use this again as it gives me a better indication of how my battery is fairing.

So how do you enable it? Why has everyone jumped ship and started using the %battery?

This is a feature only available to the iPhone 3GS, and well, jailbroken devices. I particularly hate the feature, as it builds a sense paranoia that your iPhone is losing battery quickly.

What are you talking about the %?

I want the numerical battery which is differant

are you talking about replacing the battery icon in the top right with just a number, instead of having a number and the icon?

if so, im interested in knowing too. ive wanted to do that ever since my 3.0 jailbreak, but couldn't find it.

Ever since 3.0 FW came out, I think the ability to replace the battery icon with a number indicator has gone out the window. With SBSettings and BossPrefs, you used to be able to check "Enable Numeric Battery" which would swap the icon with the numbers, but if you've updated to 3.0 FW, then those options only add the percentage next to the icon. I hate it too, I'd prefer the number indicator alone, and no battery icon.

Big loss hate the % battery :(

me too, i personally like the ability to tap on the battery icon to toggle between the number and the battery. with the new % & battery, it takes up room plus no reason to display both.

the same reason we don't need to see both digital and analog clocks in the same screen, right???
