How good is it really?

I've read it's an improvement over the ATI cards sold in other iMac's, but is there really a noticeable bump in performance?

I'm a total n00b at this, as you can see. :)
 
Since Nvidia does not make the 3.06 GHz processor in the iMac, it's not better at all. ;)

But because you actually mean the 8800 GS, well, that depends on if you do gaming or if you use a lot of Core Image-based apps.

Hehe, I meant the 8800 GS in the 3.06 iMac, lol, you caught on. ;)

Great, because I can't stand the ATI Radeons in the other iMacs, have had bad experience with ATI before, so don't wanna go back that route.
