a better place
it'll probably work in windows no problem.

whether it will work in OS X is unlikely. They do not have the mac dual firmware/bios

Titan driver set 'MAY' work, but there's a higher chance they wont.

Your risk.

Hi, I saw this at Best Buy. It's similiar to the ATI X1900 XT.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...idia&lp=10&type=product&cp=2&id=1149206843643

Was wondering if it gonna work on the Mac Pro? Do I need to buy any special cable or use Titan driver?

I know the ATI X1900 XT is a good card, but it's too bulky and never like ATI anyway.

Thanks!

WOW. Maybe this question has caught me on a bad day but what an stupid reason to not want an ATI card. You would cripple your system because it's too bulky? LMAO and never liked ATI. What is there not too like? Better image quality? One of the fastest cards on the market? what? Because it isn't the drivers because ATI's drivers have been great ever since Catalyst 6.2's. Oh and let me clear it up I am not a fanATIc I own both Ati and Nvidia cards. I just buy the best.

Best buys prices on videocards kind of suck, you really should go over to Newegg. For the same price you can get a lot more card or save some cash.

The 7600GS is barely better than the stock 7300GT. It would be a waste to buy it, even at the newegg price of $142. And of course you will have to get it to work yourself with OS X.

Just get the 1900XT from Apple, it's a good card.

I agree that getting a 7600GS is a bad Idea but I am not sure if you can say that the X1900 XT is a good card. Have you seen all the reports about bad ones. I got my mac pro with the X1900 built in last thursday. I couldn't even handle 2D full screen graphics. It to the genius bar and the jerk tried to convince me that it was within spec. I made the mistake of leaving it with those impotent fools and haven't seen it sense we are talking six hole day's later. I don't know about you but I can't imagine it taking more then ten minutes. And if they haven't done if yet because there still not in supply then they shouldn't have taken my machine for a week.

I was comming from a purely technical point of view, not taking into account the problems some people seem to be having.
