Do you guys think this card may work in Mac Pro 2019 under bootcamp? Specifically:

  • It has 300W power consumption - can this be met?
  • Is there a way to power the ProDisplay XDR using display port 1.4?
  • Would Mac Pro's Pcie 3 able to handle this Pcie 4 card? Slot 3 can be used for this card?
  • It's a dual slot card, would it be too large to put inside Mac Pro (I read that you need to remove parts from RTX 3090 to fit inside Mac Pro)

Thanks!!

Power is solved with a cable, PNY includes in their version:

“PNY understands that not every customer has the EPS-12V 8-pin connector needed to power the NVIDIA RTX A6000 graphics board, so we include a dual PCIe 8-pin to EPS-12V 8-pin adapter with all RTX A6000 products.”

Netherlands, the
OK - Then it could work if the cards isn't as big as a 3090. (Without modding) (Looks more like a standard 2 slot that isn't that long but can't find the dimensions on the PNY site)

Belking AUX Power set - 2x 8-pin PCIE > Adapter > Card. (2x 150W)
Belkin VR Cable (2x USB + 1x DP to USB-C) (Have to google a bit where to buy)

The card supports DSC so it should work with only 1 DP connector. The USB is used for controlling the display in the bootcamp utility.

This setup also worked for me on a PC with a 3090 connected to an XDR display.
