Grace CPU is officially announced and maybe this is what Mac Pro should go for:

- It still uses LPDDR5x chips and yet it has ECC feature
- A lot of VRAM just like Apple Silicon's Unified memory
- Nvidia's modular design just like A100
- Direct connection between CPU and GPU
- Not only 2 CPU but also 1GPU + 1CPU form
- 500W only with 2 chips
- Up to 960 GB of memory per CPU plate. Or 4TB with DDR5
- NVLINK to connect other CPU/GPU

You think there is any market for a Mac Pro costing well over $100K? These are supercomputer chips, and they come with a corresponding price point.

The article is citing the CPU being 2x the performance compared to x86 equivalents, AMD and Intel though the AMD CPUs are very old by now.

Compare that to the Desktop space where you have an M2 vs Intel counterpart. You have more than 2x performance(per watt).
