Hi,

I want to update my Nvidia Graphics Card drivers on my 3.06Ghz iMac, I am running XP and was wondering what GeForce 8800 card I install it under. One site says to Select the 8800 GTX and another says to select the 8800 GS when installing so not too sure which one to select.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.

The 8800 in your iMac is not a desktop graphics card, you should be installing the drivers for the notebook version of the 8800. Besides which, as far as I am aware there it doesn't matter if you choose 8800GS or 8800GT drivers as nVidia's ForceWare drivers are universal to all of the 8 series graphics cards.

But yeah, mobile graphics chip, not desktop :)

Indeed. If you were going to get the newest drivers, it would be from Nvidia themselves:

And while those drivers are in beta, they do work awesome. I've been running them for a couple weeks with no issues.
