NVIDIA employees, please just leak the Pascal driver that we know you have a beta of... PLEASE! We GTX 1080 users all want to use it in macOS. k thx.
So you think Nvidia should support a product that Apple already has plans to EOL in the next os release?
This is how big business works. Nvidia doesn't need Apple and is doing just fine without them. Why should they release drivers or try to support the only aging hardware Apple has left when there's no future in it?
Apple doesn't officially support eGPU and doesn't have a PCI slot in their new hardware. There's not one single product Apple makes that Nvidia can market their products around.
It sounds like way more work than necessary to support a beta on ancient hardware for very little in return.
Nobody wants to get fired for supporting a dying platform.I think the thread starter just wants the drivers leaked. It would be unofficial so Nvidia would not have to bother supporting it. It's a dream but a nice one...
Dying? It's stiff as a board, pushing up daisies, gone to the great beyond. It's dead Jim.Nobody wants to get fired for supporting a dying platform.

I don't think a Pascal driver for Mac exists inside Nvidia right now.
