Yes, I will be trading my ultrabook (Asus) for this wonderful Android device. I look forward to using to play Android based games with an actual control pad.

Any other Shield users here?

Nvidia Shield

Ever since I owned a Xoom with nVidia Tegra 2 I've avoided phones/tablets that use nVidia soc's.

I don't like the idea and fragmentation caused by the "Tegra Zone".

When I got a Nexus 10 there were some games that were only available to my Xoom and not the far more powerful N10.

Just got mine and really loving it for watching Netflix and Youtube videos and encoded mp4's. It is incredible and sound quality is much better than that of the iPod touch I used to have.

I own the shield as well! I am very happy with it for some android gaming and streaming of videos. I still have not had the chance to try the game streaming feature as I have an older nvidia graphics card. Down the line though I will want to upgrade my card in my rig to take advantage of it.

I don't think I would trade an ultrabook for one. But then again I am no longer a gamer so that may be it. I can see using it for movies in bed or something like that.

Try the nVidia Grid beta. I've been really impressed with the results so far, even streaming games from the other coast. Limited selection of games, but no computer required.

I have been streaming a lot of Netflix and YouTube with it and am very happy with the quality of the product. I haven't played a single game on it. It's a great media device.

You do intend to use it for gaming though, don't you? I only ask because I see no reason whatsoever to purchase this over a Nexus 7 solely for media consumption.

Yeah I plan to stream my PC games at my bro-in-law's LAN party :) from my desktop.

Love mine. Packed full of emulators. Don't use it much for android games, nor have I used the PC streaming despite having a 670 GTX... It's in my Mac Pro which obviously won't work.

Would definitely recommend it, BUT I did have to exchange my first one for a really bad D-Pad. My second one also has a noisy D-Pad but doesn't have mis triggers like the first.
