Since yesterday when these drives disappeared and the "didn't eject properly" notification came up, they now do the same almost immediately after booting and are no longer accessible. They don't appear in disk utility but system info shows the card is present in the PCI section.

Any ideas on how to solve this? As they are registered as internal through the OC I can't find any way to try and re-mount them.

Thanks

Thanks. I have removed and reinstalled the PCI card.
When I reboot the drives come back and stay awhile whether in safe mode or regular. At some point they disappear but I have not been around when it happens - I have only come back to it after a break and see that they've gone and I see the "disk not ejected properly" alerts. I suspect now it might have something to do with the Mac sleeping?

Install DriveDx and monitor the drives. It does not always detect an issue with a PCIe card, but sometimes you'll see errors leading you in that direction.

The problem seems not directly related to sleeping. They sometimes disconnect almost immediately after startup, and sometimes just randomly.

Macs Fan Control reports the temperature of the two cards as 48°C - is that high or normal?
