i want to upgrade mi SSD to nvme on mi mac pro, but i dont know if it works fine as a bootable drive

As long as you upgrade the firmware before using it with macOS, or if it comes with the newest firmware, it will work.

You do have to upgrade the firmware on your cMP to be NVMe bootable 1st, if you haven’t already.
