NVRAM makes windows 10 on SATA SSD unstable

I have a Samsung 970 evo with bootable Mojave. This works perfectly fine.

I have a Samsung SSD in a SATA II sled that has a windows 10 installation. This was created by cloning a windows installation using winclone (that was previously on a spinner in a SATA II bay).

I can boot into the windows 10 irregularly - often I get a boot error.

If I remove the 970 evo, then the windows 10 boots up fine without any errors.

Any reason why this is happening? I'm guessing the 970 evo is interfering with the boot process in some way.

I had this same issue with a SM951 AHCI and a SATAIII both in PCIe slots. No one was able to help me troubleshoot it. I was able to get limited success by swapping out my mac-flashed GTX680 with an apple ATI 5770.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but I am booting a 970 Pro from Slot-1, and running Windows on a Samsung 940Pro SSD in Bay1. The windows install was cloned from a rotational HDD. It all works flawlessly with both my HD7970 (Flashed EFI), and Sapphire Pulse RX580. I also had the same Samsung SSD mounted on an Apricorn Solo X2 PCIe card working fine.

I only difference I notice is that you have an EVO drive (different controller I think than the PRO, not sure though). What GPU do you have installed (just curious)?
