Yup, I also had a look and dident find any thing about PHP. I whould love to have something like dreamweaver but open source. Nvu is good but i need PHP. if any of you know a good site maker please post it.

When you say "sitemaker," do you mean WYSIWYG or a good text editor, by which you could do this by hand?

If you want to code by hand, I'm going to recommend using TextMate. Yes, it's "expensive" at $60, but it's worth the cost.

And if you want to test PHP before making it 'live,' just install PHP on your local machine and test it there.

I don't know of a product for OS X that has a PHP server built in....come to think of it, I don't know of one for Windows either.

How would you go about doing this as I am interested in learning more about PHP as I move along? Thanks!
 
It's been a while since I installed it, but I think the package you can get from here is what you're looking for. Make sure to read around the page first to make sure you know what you're installing, though.
