You can order from, say, Norman Camera, have the equipment in hand long before B&H or Adorama reopen, and not be charged sales tax. Otherwise, I'd try J&R as suggested.

Hmac, thanks for the suggestion but I was looking for a bricks & mortar to test handling of cameras.

J & R is only around 7 rating at resellerratings.com; I haven't been there in several years, but my experience was that they didn't want to spend any time with customers who want to examine items before buying, or god forbid, look at multiple items before deciding.

Salesmen were more like the "soup nazi" on Seinfeld - know what you want, hurry up and buy it and get the hell out of my store.

Just my experience. Thanks anyway.

Wow! I was aware of many Brooklyn scammers from reading these forums, but I never knew there was a site dedicated to exposing this scum. Thanks for the link.
