You knew it was bound to happen, Greg Packer, the fellow camping outside the Apple store in Manhattan has started a blog detailing his ~96 hour wait for the iPhone.
The blog can, predictably, be found at none other than: FirstInLine

Bonus round!

It appears that the number threee iPhone camper has started a blog also. His name is David Clayman, and he will be detailing his adventure at:
The iPhone Adventure

Actually, #3.

good catch. Whose taking bets on how long it takes before this guy has to turn off his cell phone. I can't believe he posted his phone number on the internet.

I dropped him a note politely telling him he's nutz, but I admire his chutzpah. :)

youd think hed put some advertising on his site so he could at least make some money, its bound to make the digg front page

For laughs, I texted him:

[Me]
Man! You've got some commitment! I won't have to wait as long as you, but good luck. You've got a long three days.

[Greg]
Thanks for the love ben, greg

Sitting in a lawn chair awake at 3:16 AM in NYC in a lawn chair.. I bet he is turning some heads! :p

this guy is really asking for donations! wtf, i mean its not like its a poor homeless man. its a guy living of my hard earned tax money who probably still lives in his moms basement. someone should go by and soak him with water and throw eggs at him, you know he won't get up and chase you.

I personally think that it's kind of cool that they're inviting people to communicate with them...I personally think guy #3 sounds pretty cool and wish he had thrown up his phone number so I could send him a text.

Edit: I just spoke to Greg on the phone and he seems like a really nice guy. We chatted a bit about boston (where I'm from) and life "on the outside" and I passed along regards to the people in line. Pick up the phone if he calls you back! these guys need SOMETHING to do all day!

Is is me, or does the first guy in line not really fit in the iPhone demographic?

He seems more like a guy who should be sitting in a pickup, drinking a soda (beer), and talking on a CB...not an iPhone.

Oh well, there are all types, and I am sure Apple will appreciate his money just as much as mine....
