I have this fascination with NYC (I have since I was a kid) and I always get all the NYC wallpaper I can find.

I have quite a few, but it's all in my resolution, 1280x960.

Koodauw, do you know where I could get that one in 1280x960?

here's one

Here's one that's sort of sentimental. I hope they take Trump's advice and rebuild them as an act of defiance (as opposed to that skeletal looking design that won out over the other proposals and subsequently got scrapped).

FadeToBlack: This one happens to be 1280x960.

Nice shot....

I agree they should have rebuilt the original "design", but many other factors were/are involved. And if Trump owned the site, I am sure he would have wanted to maximized the redevelopment. In the end he could have maybe bought out the owner and did what his is proposing.

The desktop wallpaper I would like would be a similar shot but with the two shafts of light after 9-11. At this point I need it at 1600x1200.

Thanks. I wish I remembered where I got and knew who shot it.

Here are some big pictures of the light beams:

The three pictures on the bottom of this page are actually 800x600 (ctrl-click to see them at that size):

This one is 1200x860 . . . it's a bit noisy though:

This one is nice and clean (1024x768):

That is a GREAT shot. I already have it. I can't remember where I got it. I did a search on google and found it.

If anyone else has some, post 'em.

I liked this one - 1920x1200.

That's an AWESOME desktop. How would I resize that to 1280x960? I know you can do it in iPhoto, but when I try to resize, it always has to preserve the 4:3 aspect ratio and that puts it at 1280x800 and it won't let me change it. Thanks in advance.

That's cool - I love NYC. When I used to live in NJ I would catch the bus on Route 9 and go in whenever I had the chance. And sometimes I just load up the Times Square webcam and have in on screen just for the memories.
