Yes. Don’t use iOS 18. A lot of apps are going to break and devs aren’t updating to support iOS 18. And even then, they may fix it in one version, then break in another.I downloaded IOS 18 and my NYT app no longer opens. Any ideas?
Technically they have until September with public release, although they often quietly fix it soonerSame here, both on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. I’ve tried everything including deleting and re-downloading the app, rebooting the phone. I wonder how long it will take the Times to fix it.
Unfortunately NYTimes.com has this crappy mobile design where when you click on an article and read it and then click the back button, it leaps back up to the top of the main page instead of bringing you back where you were. So as I read through, every time I finish an article I have to scroll down and figure out where I was. Drives me nuts. So I switched to the app a couple weeks ago after determining it happens on Edge as well as Safari - just in time for it to bust under ios18 lol. Back to the web for the time being!Reading the NYTimes on Safari works better than the on the NYT app. You don't lose your place every time the app updates the news stories. Layout on Safari is identical to the app. (So I haven't bothered to notify the times.)
Yup. It’s listed in the pinned ‘working and not working apps’ thread at the top of the forum. One of the few apps not working at this point.I downloaded IOS 18 and my NYT app no longer opens. Any ideas?
