Same here, both on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. I’ve tried everything including deleting and re-downloading the app, rebooting the phone. I wonder how long it will take the Times to fix it.

Technically they have until September with public release, although they often quietly fix it sooner
 
Reading the NYTimes on Safari works better than the on the NYT app. You don't lose your place every time the app updates the news stories. Layout on Safari is identical to the app. (So I haven't bothered to notify the times.)

Unfortunately NYTimes.com has this crappy mobile design where when you click on an article and read it and then click the back button, it leaps back up to the top of the main page instead of bringing you back where you were. So as I read through, every time I finish an article I have to scroll down and figure out where I was. Drives me nuts. So I switched to the app a couple weeks ago after determining it happens on Edge as well as Safari - just in time for it to bust under ios18 lol. Back to the web for the time being!
 
First of all, no app has responsibility to be functioning with iOS 18 at this point. That it’s not is simply a data point and nothing more.

Secondly, we have an entire thread devoted to nonworking apps. I would suggest you post there rather than starting an independent thread.
