O2 pay as you go iphone VPN setting?

Hi, Jst few days ago I have recived firmware v1.1.4 iphone unlocked
I have tried EVERYTHING what I could find in this webpage to help me
to connect to the EDGE or VPN settings but unfortunately I only have
VPN Settings
Wi-Fi
Data roaming

I do not have EDGE setting at the buttom.
can anyone help me for VPN setting?
what is VPN anyway..;;;

If you don't have the EDGE settings option in Settings | General | Network then there are fixes that can be carried out but some assume you are comfortable with using SSH, see here.

But it may simply be that you need to jailbreak your phone as you're on a PAYG Contract. For that use pwnage.app.

If you don't know what VPN is you don't need it.

If I remember right then installing Boss Prefs will give you the Edge settings button
