Iam a PAYG customer and been meaning to setup the BTOpenzone for a while now. Each time I come across an Openzone hotspot, I try to sign up but there doesnt seem to be an option for it, only an option to sign in.

Can anyone advise me how I create an account? :)

I too have pay & go on 3gs, but I have never needed to sign in to Openzone sites, my phone has always been automatically recognised.

Have a word with O2 cust support, maybe they need to 'register' your phone with Openzone or something.

Ive no idea why I put PAYG. Iam on a monthly contract....ooooppps

If I remember right, first time I connected on Openzone, I got redirected to a log-in page. I then clicked the "Home" link, and on that page was an iPhone tab. When I clicked there, I think I had to select O2, and then got a page that asked me for my phone number. Then I was connected.

I had the same problem, emailed o2, this was the response:

Thanks for getting in touch with us regarding the Wi Fi connection on your iPhone.

Paul, all you would need to do is when asked for the Username and Password, you would need to give your mobile number as Username and again mobile number as password.

However if you're unable to get connected then reply to this email and we would be able to help you with the information.

I had the problem when my phone would get disassociated with the hotspots and it wouldn’t register, i sent a text message just saying WiFi to 2121, that seemed to fix it for me a couple of times :)

Ok thanks, I assume its the username and password that you use to sign into your O2 account online?
