Hi all,

I want get into iOS development. It seems Apple is going to replace Objective-C with Swift? Should I start with Objective-C or should I directly go to Swift?

I understand that Swift material is not readily available yet. Even if I spend some time with Objective-C while I wait for Swift developer guides, what about iOS programming? Will all those frameworks still be needed for Swift or will they be different? Do I still need to learn iOS frameworks?

Please advise.

Thanks,
svr

I would learn Objective-C first. There are more tutorials and books about Objective-C. Swift is so new that finding information on it can be difficult. Apps written in Objective-C will still work on iOS devices well into the future.

Agreed. Objective C and the fundamentals first... Swift later
