HI,

I would post this in Mac Gaming but as a new user im not allowed yet so…

I just downloaded Oblivion GOTY cider and installed it. Everything works fine apart from one thing that is getting very annoying, which i think is to do with the physics. When I defeat an enemy and they begin to fall down or fly backwards it freezes for 2 - 3 seconds then then goes back to normal. This happens every time i kill someone/thing or if other large items are falling e.g. log trap etc.

Cant find anyone else having the same issue when i search in google
or anywhere else! Anyone know a solution?

I want to try reinstalling the app but I don't want to lose my saved game. Whats the location of ciders save oblivion game?

- Macbook Pro
15" 2.66, 4GB Ram
, 330m geforce

Thanks! Ras

(I do own a PC from long ago but i just wanted a game on my mac to test out)

There may be a Cider tweak, but my suggestion is bite the bullet and install real Windows via Bootcamp.

In Windows your Oblivion Saved Games should be in my documents\my games\oblivion\saves\.

Game settings are located in the Oblivion.ini file located in my documents\my games\oblivion\

I remember fighting this problem when I first got it working in Cider...

try disabling your music... I think it was the music changing from battle and out that was causing pauses.

Oblivion runs fantastic in Cider... just takes some tweaks. try taking this oblivion.ini file I have linked here, and use it in the data folder Oblivion makes in your home folder (documents/my games/oblivion I think). Once you use it, never go into the sound settings in game or it will reset some stuff in this ini wether you change anything or not.. it is a work around where I got all the sound effects working decently so you rarely hear any problems... and yes music is disabled.

Oblivion.ini download

Thanks doh, replaced the .ini file and that fix the problem. Its a lot smoother now! :)
