I've got a bit of an oddball situation with my mac mail.

I get emails from people in Russia, sometimes in russian. That is fine.
I get emails from people in China, sometimes in chinese, that is also fine.

If I'm copied on emails from China to Russia, in russian, then all the russian characters are corrupted. They appears as the junk 7 bit ascii rather than the proper character.

The same email on Outlook on my PC has all the correct russian characters, and if I forward that to myself then it appears ok on the mac.

My first thought is that I am missing some font on the mac, where Outlook is probably guessing another suitable Russian character set. I've had a look a the fonts on the mac, and can't see how it handles other language fonts.

How can I check the russian language fonts that are installed, or if I need to get others?
Or is a problem with the mac mail encoding? I can't see an option for the character encoding in mail.

Does no one know how to check the foreign, cyrillic, fonts that are installed?
