MP 1,1-5,1 OCLP 6.8: Photos.app - "Unsupported Video Format" for iPhone 12 video

I've installed Ventura 13.5 on my cMP 5,1 using Open Core Legacy Patcher 0.6.8. Things are working well except for the videos I took with my iPhone 12 Mini. In Photos, they'll play, but there's an exclamation triangle in the upper left corner. When I click on it, it shows an error dialog that states: "Unsupported Video Format". There are two other symptoms:

1. The edit button is disabled
2. The poster frames are all washed out

I have a Radeon RX 580 graphics card. Has anyone else run into this? Is it expected?

Hi. I'm having the same issue in Sonoma with RX 580. Did you ever figure this out?

I have a vague idea that it may be to do with lacking AVX support on the older processors.
