Thanks to @tsialex 's most excellent service, my MacPro5,1's BootROM is now in good health and I'm ready to start looking at Monterey via OpenCore Legacy Patcher.

Is it safe to build the installer USB from a dosdude-hacked Catalina or should I do it from the clean Mojave boot drive I prepared for the flashing process?

Also, is the Radeon RX 5700 XT free from any driver issues in Monterey, unlike Catalina where it needs a rolled back driver?
(mine is flashed by MVC Europe)

Yes.

I don't own a RX 5700XT, but Monterey works fine for NAVI cards.
