Won't be viewing this one from "ground zero".

Did do the 2012 annular. 2023 seems to be tracking along a similar path as 2012: did my viewing from Parowan, UT as other areas in the centerline area was packed with people. Guessing this year might be no different re crowds.

(ADD: planning on 2024 total as sister's family is in Dallas metro, so have a place to crash)

totally cool
I'll be just off the centerline because I'm sacrificing "totality" for location in this case. It'll be at 10:28 am and looks like clear skies.

I'll admit I'm a little nervous about crowds of photogs

There was a decent sized crowd when I pulled up that ballooned as the day progressed, but since was open Federal lands, was able to find a spot down a dirt road not too far off the paved road. Got out quickly, easily, after totality (wanted to beat the rush and keep going south to Vegas), but did notice a traffic jam of cars trying to head out at the Summit interchange (and think Kanarraville as well).

So the skies were clear at Bryce Canyon for the eclipse. I had never been there and I was really blown away by the landscape.

Also Bryce Canyon is a certified dark sky area and the view of the sky was glorious
