I bought a used MBP with a 2GB OCZ Technology PC2 5400 SODIMM. It says "Mobile Value Series 5-5-5-15". I've searched online and it looks like it sells for around $120. How does this RAM compare to OWC or other brands? Thanks.

Not sure where you looked but it is $60 on Newegg. OCZ has a lifetime warranty on it's memory. From what I have read about the desktop parts they sell they are overclocker friendly, so I wouldn't worry about using them in a notebook of mine.

I noticed most RAM is 5300 not 5400. Is it ok to use 5400 in a MBP? The 5400 RAM doesn't come up as an option on some sites when searching for MBP RAM.
