Up front, this is a minor and odd thing to bring up here, but it's got me wondering:

I have been using a Samsung wireless charging pad for my 11Pro, and normally it lights up a blue LED on the pad to indicate charging.
After iOS14, I've now noticed that when I wake up in the morning the pad LED changes to green, this is not a behavior prior to iOS14.

What is different in iOS14 charging that would be causing this? Again, no concerns, just curious. thanks.

I noticed that a few days ago myself. I assume there must be some optional part of the Qi standard that Apple hadn’t implemented until iOS 14, but I haven’t seen any information about this. In fact, this is the first thing I’ve seen anywhere about it (I searched the web a couple days ago but found nothing).

This is good news.

Apple devices' failure to trip the completion indicators on chargers has always been a shortcoming, and a mysterious omission.

Now, perhaps the charger makers no longer have to include disclaimers about how their chargers will signal that charging is complete, except for Apple devices.
