Hi all:

I have four Outlook.com e-mail accounts all with the same custom domain name. After upgrading from Beta 3 to Beta 4, one of them prompted me for my password but it would not accept it. I removed the account and re-added it but it would not take the password. I changed the password and it will still not accept it. Two factor authentication is not turned on this Outlook.com account. I am selecting Outlook.com as the account type when starting to set it up.

I'm stumped. Thx for any ideas.

Just wanted to let you know, you are not the only one. We also have a custom domain hosted with outlook.com. Only one of the email addresses has a problem. On evening of 11/22, my wife's email started asking for a password on her iPad. Now neither her iPad, her iPhone nor her iMac can access her mail, but a web browser can. We have tried changing the account password, tried turning on 2 step authentication, turning off 2 step authentication, deleting and re-generating app passwords, nothing seems to help. Unable to verify user name or password. The other 2 accounts are fine as well as another domain also at outlook.com.

I have opened a case with Microsoft. They have acknowledged the request but have given me no time frame for resolution.

I don't think your problem is with 9.2b4, it was probably a coincidence that it happened after you updated, unless yours is working now.

Would appreciate it very much if you find a solution to post back.

Thanks,
Bill

Same problem here, it started to happen when they upgraded one of my custom domains to the new Outlook Preview. There's no way to disable or return to the old Outlook as far as I know.

The other 2 domains I have with them are still working ok.

Just want to be very specific here:
  1. Custom domain with outlook.com
  2. Has been working for years, not a configuration problem on my end
  3. Only affects a single account, other accounts still working
  4. The account affected was not using 2 step authentication
  5. Problem noticed evening of 11/22/2015
  6. Appears to affect all clients: iPhone and iPad (activesync) and iMac (IMAP)
  7. Turning on/off 2 step authentication, changing password, nothing seems to help

Does this jive with other's problems?
