Recently I've been having problems with the CD drive, I've been trying to install windows XP on bootcamp but every time I insert the XP CD it spits it out after about 30 seconds. The odd thing is I've tried all sorts of other Cd's in the drive and they work fine, I just installed iLife yesterday without a hitch. What makes it even more odd is that I've tried using about 5 different xp CD's and none of them work. They are all genuine barely used XP professional CD's with no scratches and they work fine on my macbook and macbook pro.
I've installed XP before on this computer with Bootcamp without any problems so I don't know whats going on here. An XP CD will occasionally stay in the drive and show up in finder but when I restart in Bootcamp assistant to begin the installation the CD ejects.

My specs are:
iMac 2GHz intel Core 2 duo 2007 model (i think)
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 ram

Any help would be much appreciated :)

That sounds more like a bootcamp problem, or maybe an upgrade version of XP.

The second one was a complete desperate guess though.

Bootcamp requires SP2 to install, if the installation discs are pre-SP2, it will reject them.
