From time to time my iPhone or iPad will give me a notification that one of my devices is being used to log in (I assume to Apple) and asks me to allow or deny. The map in the notification always shows the device either where I live or recently visited.

Anyone seen this? I always deny the request because I don't know what its for. But it still puzzles me why it happens.

The map has never been really accurate for me. Usually within 10-15 miles. There is another thread around here where people were getting massive discrepancies in the map.

1) Go log into icloud.com, go to settings and click "Sign Out of All Browsers" at the bottom.
2) Go change your iCloud/Apple ID password
3) 10-15mi precision for geolocated IP addresses is pretty good
