Wierd thing just happened... I was using my MBA as normally with 2-3 apps running: Safari, iTunes, etc. and while typing up a post here on MR, where I was typing turned into an image of a piece of the top bar by the clock/bluetooth/wifi indicator. I tried to scroll around to get rid of it but it wouldn't go away. I looked at my top bar around the area where the snippet was, was a snippet of the text entry field where I had been typing. The whole computer was frozen at this point, except for the mouse. Nothing worked, no force quit, no shutdown dialog when I hit the power button, so I had to hard boot it.

Anyone have a similar experience? It felt awfully like a GPU issue...i'm real familiar with those after having to replace my logic board on my 8600M GT equipped MBP of the past.

I couldnt take a screenshot as it locked up, but here's pretty much exactly what it looked like, recreated in photoshop.

No, and I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again/often.

We've all been there! I had the logic board replaced, only for the new one to die two days later.
