I'm experiencing odd volume issues with iOS9 beta. Unfortunately, I can't remember for the life of me whether or not they were present in iOS8, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had similar problems in that version...

Occasionally, the max volume of my iPhone is significantly reduced. You can whack the slider all the way to the right and it simply isn't as loud as it should be. Restart the phone, and the volume returns.

Has anyone else experienced this? I think it might happen when I switch from using bluetooth headphones to wired, but don't take my word on that.

I have the same problem, do you have Facebook app on your iPhone? If so, you just need to 'swipe up' to close the Facebook app and it returns to normal. I think it has something to do when Facebook updates the newsfeed.

Well, who'd have thought it? I'll give that a try next time it happens - thank you.

Good old Facebook.

I have this issue to this very day in iOS 8 and 9. I will try the Facebook tweak but i have had the issue with nothing but audio installed. The issue seems to present when i am listening to music and then get an alert normal a system alert from email, the volume dips to let the alert play, however the volume never goes back up. I seem to have this issue intermently, however i can say with spotify it is far worse than the built in music player.

I have reported this as a bug many many many many times and nothing seems to have been done about it. My whole friend group has this issue so do not feel bad if it has bitten you as it should be a known issue and should be fixed by apple. If Facebook is the culprit then it is cause apple did not shield the system resources correctly from Facebook doing an auto volume down with out a volume restore call.

I was getting an issue the other night listening to music, Low volume at the max but while listening I get a text and the volume went way up, switched songs and low volume again. Get another text and volume back up again! What gives?
