Hello every one, I hope your weekend isn't as darn hot as mine. May cool gentle breezes keep you fresh.

Anyhoo, I've noticed that when I wake my SR MBP 2.4 up, the Brightness controls freeze up. It appears to be at full and pressing the buttons does nothing.

This seems to correct itself after a restart.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Thank you for your time

z:)

Installed all the latest updates too? There was a few people had this problem, and I didn't hear anything after 10.4.10 was released. Could be because their laptops blew up when they updated to .10 though.

Hot?! You should come to the UK. We're all 5ft under water!

Ironic since all the English think it rains all the time in Scotland - not a puddle up here that isn't more than a few cm's deep!

Well, this last time I woke her up the brightness has all hunky dory (that means working fine...)

Weird.

No, I haven't updated to .10 yet, waiting for the death toll.

I had the same problem as you before the latest update. I had even passed by an Apple Store and asked the guy, and he said he had never heard of this before. If it comes back, there could be a real issue here.
