I'm thinking about moving to Ventura from Monterey on my 16" M1 Macbook pro to use some Ventura only software. Currently working in Monterey: M1 Macbook Pro -> OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock -> buncha stuff + Apple Cinema Display, ancient, with Mini Display Port.
I know there are better monitors than the Cinema Display, but I'm not into making a change right now.
I don't use clamshell mode, and I don't try to sleep the mac while plugged into the dock + monitor. I yank the plug to the dock if I'm going to leave it for a while.
Reading in this forum, it's unclear whether the problem is clamshell mode, sleeping, any external monitor with Ventura, or what. Should I wait until they fix Ventura, think about a newer monitor, or stay in Monterey for the year no matter if I want to use some software that requires Ventura?
