I'm thinking about getting an Apple Tv but my only question is since it doesn't have an off switch do u just unplug it when not in use?

There isn't a physical ON/OFF switch.

You can unplug it or use the standby function. (Hold down the play button for 5 seconds when at the main menu or Settings > Standby)

Not sure how much power it saves though as iTunes can still sync when it's in standby.

Thanks a lot.

I have mine hooked up to a surge strip and I've found that it's best this way. I wouldn't usually do this, but I just recently placed the Apple TV in an enclosed cabinet, and with it running all the time it would generate considerable amounts of heat even in sleep mode. The surge strip with the on/off button has been the way to go for me...
