I have the full version of office 2004, but I don't know how to get rid of the 30-days test drive version. Everytime I open a Word document it would open on the test drive version.

Did you delete all of the test drive files? You might have to spotlight them as well.

the very first step in the Office installation instructions is to remove the Office Test Drive ;)

check the Office install instructions, should tell you how to totally remove the test drive version.

An uninstaller utility is included with Office 2004 Test Drive. Use it--and no back talk. IIRC, the uninstaller is included with the release version. It can also be used to uninstall the test drive version.

Highlight the file, hit Command-I to bring up the info screen. Under "Open with:" select the operable version of whatever Office component is appropriate, then hit the "Change all..." button to apply this option to all files of that type. Repeat with any other types of files that are trying to use the incorrect version of Office

How do you get the test drive? Does it come with any Macintosh, or is it available for download? I plan on using the iWork '06 trial until it expires, then using the Microsoft Office trial until it expires, and then using NeoOffice until iWork '07 is released in January. :D

Office 2004 Test Drive was included on my Macbook when I got it. You can also download it directly from Microsoft.

Don't forget the cocoa version of Open Office that is on its way in 2007!
