Well... But its consistent with iOS... but true, they could've changed both on a Bigsurish style

Great, more apps adding a meaningless frame around the actual icon, reducing efficiency of screen space usage and making icons harder to recognize & differentiate… -_-

The icons have been like this for me for several months. Perhaps it's because I have Office 365? In any case, I find them no more or less difficult to recognize or differentiate. If anything, they offer a bit of "breathing room" in the dock due to the white surrounding the app icon art—not that I actually have them in the Dock. I launch them using Spotlight anyway.
