Office Mac 2008 on Yosemite?

Hello,

Does Office for mac 2008 run on Yosemite?
I am guessing the answer is no but very much hoping it does!

Please don't tell me it is old software and out of date... I know it is 2014!

I am happy with office 2008 and don't much like the idea of buying a separate license for each mac computer I use. Previously (office 2008) the license was for 5 household computers, now only 1. I also don't really want to upgrade to office 2011 to find they release new office in 2014 or soon after.

If it doesn't run on Yosemite, what is the latest OSX that it does run on?

It works fine with Maverick the latest OSX.

Word 2008 & Excel 2008 seem to work fine on 10.10 PB2 on my mid-2011 11" MacBook Air.

Works for me as well. In fact I've had fewer problems with Entourage 2008 than Outlook 2011.

The issue with Office 2008 apps opening in a new window is still there, but as bugs go not such a bad one.

Every time I quit Office 2011 it fails to open the Identity. I have to switch to another Identity then maybe it lets me back in my main Identity other times not. I now have two main Identities so I can switch back and forth.

Thankyou for the replies. I am very glad to hear Office 2008 works with Yosemite and I won't need to upgrade yet.

I dislike all these yearly subscription software that are becoming more common.

Spell checker

I upgraded to Yosemite and cannot get spell checker to work in Microsoft Word 2008. Any suggestions?
