Im running yosemite on my imac late 2013 and 2014 mba with no issues. i would like to upgrade to el-capitan bit issues regarding outlook, email and office are stopping me. i work a lot with word so at the moment all talk of compatability issues etc are putting me off as i need office/outlook for work. if im happy now i cant see a reason to change unless i can be very sure capitan wont interfere. it would be nice to have the latest os too. any help please appreciated.

AFAIK, the office issues that came about when El Cap was first released have been fixed. I use word, excel and powerpoint all the time on El Cap and they work as well as can be expected for anything coming out of Redmond. I was having horrible problems with Outlook under Yosemite so I dropped it in favor of the built in mail app, which works just fine for me.
