OK, I'm extremely cheap, and don't really want to spend $100+ on an Office 2024 MacOS license.

If I used a gray market office PC key for like $5, how well would it run virtualized in something like VMware fusion or UTM?

I don't use Office a ton so can't really justify the $100 price tag.

If you don't use Office, why not look into free alternatives like Libreoffice?

Also given that you're on a Mac, is Pages not good enough for what you need to do?

First is that I will not give any advice on using pirated software or pirating the software itself.

In your case I think you should consider learning how to use Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. They are included with MacOS, is available on IOS, and works fairly well. There are naturally some differences between the Microsoft version and the Mac versions. Using the WEB, some exploring, and you can make the transition.

For me, Pages/Numbers/Keynote take care of everything I need to do personally. In fact, I'd take a beating rather than ever use PowerPoint over Keynote again.

Agree with the others, to look at free alternatives. Also, Microsoft tends to run promos where you can get the license for super cheap (one time purchase, not a monthly fee). I got office 2021 for ~$20 a year or so ago.

Where did you see that 2021 promo for $20? Gray market deal?

The biggest problem is Numbers. It absolutely sucks vs Excel for any real use.
