Hello everyone,

This thread is for people to post your thoughts on what upgrades will to happening to the imac and the mini (or mini tower), and also an estimate when they will be released. My personal opionon or what i am hoping for is:

Imac:

2.16ghz stock (possibly quad core)
Better graphics card
Bigger HD
More standerd RAM
Aluminum finish (or different colors)
For the same price, or a little over

Post Up!

iMac

+ eSata
+ FW800 (on all models)
+ New case design, not white
+ Room for 2 3.5 disks in the iMac 24
+ Desktop CPU's (4 core in the 24)

and one last thing...

detachable screen (tablet) with mulitouch, wifi and cutdown OSX - apps run on the "dock" (with the CPU, HD etc) while the cutdown OSX, additional wifi, and supporting processor on the screen provide VNC/remote desktop as well as input processing (for the multitouch). The tablet, really just the screen, weighs around 1 pound, and runs for 3 or 4 hours.

iMac

+ eSata-Extremely doubt it as I think they aren't even in the Mac Pros.
+ FW800 (on all models)-Maybe, but doube it.
+ New case design, not white-Boy do I hope so
+ Room for 2 3.5 disks in the iMac 24-I don't see how they would have enough room.
+ Desktop CPU's (4 core in the 24)-I'm prety sure the reason they are using laptop chips is because of cooling issues.

and one last thing...

detachable screen (tablet) with mulitouch, wifi and cutdown OSX - apps run on the "dock" (with the CPU, HD etc) while the cutdown OSX, additional wifi, and supporting processor on the screen provide VNC/remote desktop as well as input processing (for the multitouch). The tablet, really just the screen, weighs around 1 pound, and runs for 3 or 4 hours.

So what your saying is I'm going to cradle a 24" screen in my arms and touch it?
