(I wasn't sure if this should be in this section or the "Buying Tips, Advice and Discussion" section.)

After many countless threads posted by myself here at this forum in search of help (as well as many others read), I have finally made a decision on what I plan on purchasing as my laptop for college:

MacBook 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - White
SuperDrive 8x (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English
2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
160GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm
iWork '06 preinstalled
2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
Accessory Kit

The AppleCare Protection Plan is still uncertain, however. I have decided on the following accessories to purchase along with my laptop:

- iPod nano (in red because I don't see many of them and it goes towards a good cause. If not red, then pink or blue.) which will hopefully be free with the back-to-school promotion Apple does for students.
- wireless Mighty Mouse
- sleeve

The other thing I am uncertain about is the printer. Other than that, I am (99% positive) firmly set on my decisions and I can't wait to buy. I'll be installing Leopard when it is released in October. I think having the entire summer to get used to my new laptop and the OS is a great idea, considering this will be my first Mac ever and I will be depending on it greatly for college. I will be getting Office when I start school in August. After everything is said and done, I will be spending about $1600 total with my education discount.

I also wanted to thank everyone here at the forum for being so incredibly kind and informative. I've gathered so much knowledge by just being active and reading numerous threads here alone (especially all of the glowing reviews and topics about the Macbook). I plan on keeping everyone updated! :) I'm looking forward to buying sometime next week. Thank you once again!
