You can't hesitate for a minute with refurb minis, as soon as they hit they are gone. Sometimes the server models stick around for a bit...

I'm with you

I was checking out Apple's refurb site for the MacMinis.

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac/mac_mini

There was a 10 model that they wanted 449 for or something. I had to wait to get home and use my card. When I logged back in, it was GONE!

So I'm mad at YOU (if you are the one that just bought it)!!!!!

Looking on Craigslist but, nothing worth buying and I won't do Ebay. :|

On the eBay side of things, bargenpolebandntouch springnto mind, butnas has been posted here, you do have to grab thosebrefurbs pretty quickly.

Strange scenario on the Apple store front though. I have found them to be polite, fair, and very willing to allow you to play with whatever they have.

Is this just a UK thing?

Haven't been fornabwhile as I deal with my Apple friends and my third MBA will be about a week.....For the hassle I had with the previous two, I'm getting free AppleCare, which in the UK runs at £169.00. Also bought the thunderbolt cable and ssd

it was $469 so it would be $501.83 in your state

I see that. I'll have my card with me for now on.

Just hope this one works properly. If not, I will buy an MBP. But I have faith, just unlucky with the previous two.

I'd like to buy new from Apple, I know what I'm getting. Locally on Craigslist, I can see it and test drive before I decide to buy. Plus, I won't buy one without it having the 1 year AC or in the extended.

You could have bought it then. Takes a whole minute.

Please read my post again.

Only 1.83 over my budget. :) I really have about 550 but, I would like to get a kb too.

You missed it again (or did you get it today). They had them (or one) listed on the refurb site.

One thing I have noticed is that Thursdays and Fridays are when new inventory seems to be posted, at least for mini's. Probably not a policy, just an observation. I am fortunate enough to work from home, with my mac next to my work machine so I'm always looking at the site for mini's.

Good luck, ya gotta be fast. I'm holding out for a 2011 mini server, if (and when) that shows up it will NOT last long at all!! Gonna see how that compares to my 6 year old mac pro. I have my credit card taped to my monitor (only kidding)!
