I have an interesting question.

We have 3 servers in our office that all have backup drives in them. When the work day is over we place them in a fireproof safe. I am looking to also do offsite backups as well. Is there any free and easy way of doing that? I know online companies will do it for free but only to a certain amount. We need a good chunk of backup space for all 3 servers.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!!

so many threads on these forums already covering this topic - i would use the search.

But in short, CrashPlan and BackBlaze rise to the top.

For 3 servers @ $4 / month (BackBlaze) = $144 a year for unlimited, secure, offsite storage. I'm sure your budget will allow.

Alternatively, if your budget does NOT allow, then you can CrashPlan the data to one of your own personal computers at home (or another office), for free.

Carbonite is another one. Leo Laporte from TWiT has them as a sponsor. I've never used them, so I cannot comment personally on any experience with them

Crashplan allows you to backup from Office to Home (or back) for free.

Just set up destination folders and allow access from the office. You may need a large drive!.

Alternatively, you could invest in a QNAP or Synology and have your 3 servers backup to it (locally) and then that NAS backs up to another one at home...
