The problem is that when I swipe to open the iphone (5s iOS, latest), the swipe screen moves a little, but it will not open. This problem doesn't happen every time and usually after I complete a call then go back to try to open the phone.
I had thought it might be the screen protector so I removed that and made sure the screen was clean. I also did a partial reset of the iPhone.
I never have any background apps running when this happens.
This is a very frustrating problem. The Apple Store has been zero help other than to say to RESET THE ENTIRE PHONE (sure, just add (my) hours....). Of course their approach is the best for them since it gets me out of the store, but misses the point that there is a problem with the device that keeps coming back.
Currently, "rebooting" is all that fixes this! Having to "CTRL-ALT-DEL" was something I thought I'd left behind...
I also did some Google searches and found others with the same problem, but no definitive "ah-hah" causes (or solutions). Seems like an iOS bug of some type, but I, of course, cannot be sure.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
